Conditioning exercises
Conditioning is defined as "arranging all the factors necessary for peak performance to be in a desirable state toward a certain goal." In this exercise, you will acquire practical skills in conditioning methods used in sports settings through exercises such as medical checks (morphological measurements, joint angle measurements, alignment checks, whole-body joint laxity, etc.), taping, and massage.
Sports Physiology
Sports physiology is the study of how sports and exercise are formed, gaining knowledge and deepening our understanding from a physiological perspective. In class, we will learn about the reactions and adaptations that occur in the body during sports activities and training, as well as the effects of training. Furthermore, we will consider how to apply the knowledge gained through lectures to the sports field, by relating it to the sports and training that you yourself practice or are interested in.

How seniors learned
Acquire knowledge to support your body and connect it to the future.
From Niigata Prefecture, Chuetsu High School /
Masaki Yamamoto
I wanted to know a lot about my body and what is necessary to continue playing sports, so I chose Health Science Major (at the time of enrollment). Currently, I am studying nutrition and conditioning. One of the attractions of this Major is that you can listen to lectures by external instructors during major seminars and acquire a wealth of knowledge.
Learning about nutrition helps me to understand my own body.
Saitama Seibu Lions (at the time of the interview) Professional baseball player /
Sho Yamanobe
Although I didn't get many playing opportunities in high school, I was able to play many games in J. F. Oberlin University and gain confidence. Studying nutrition and related subjects also gave me the opportunity to seriously consider my own body. I was a sportsman, but I think it's an environment where you can learn a wide range and find what you love.
