Strengths of the academic group

To deepen your knowledge and understanding of 'health and well-being' and broaden your perspective, you will use both major and minor programs to design your own four-year course of study. In the fall semester of the second year (four semesters), students select one major program from six majors and select one or more minor programs from Minor I or II. By deepening specialized learning through major programs and combining minor programs to study related Area, the goal is to acquire knowledge and skills in "health and welfare" with a broad perspective.

Fieldwork, which students can participate in from their first year, allows them to freely choose from over 50 diverse programs across six categories, transcending the boundaries of their major. Through activities in real-world settings, such as community exchange, health and sports, and overseas training, students will identify what society needs and what they can do, fostering practical skills and initiative.

College of Health and Welfare has developed a curriculum that supports students aiming to obtain national qualifications such as social worker, mental health social worker, certified psychologist, nursery teacher, kindergarten teacher, and junior and senior high school teacher (health and physical education), as well as sports, psychology, and community welfare. Additionally, we have established a practical training support center staffed by specialized instructors to provide comprehensive support from obtaining qualifications through post-graduation career development by handling consultations related to internships, student life, and learning. Leveraging this expertise, it is possible to connect to a wide range of career paths, not only in welfare, education, and medical fields, but also in general companies.
