Practical Psychology Major
Program Overview
We cultivate professionals who can provide practical psychological support useful for interpersonal assistance to all people, building upon knowledge and skills from the fundamentals to applications and practical use of psychology. Through group work and participatory classes involving discussions and presentations, students develop the communication skills and counseling mindset essential for interpersonal support.
Class Featured
Industrial and organizational psychology
This course examines the behavior of people working in organizations from a psychological perspective, considering the essence of work and learning about ways to provide psychological support for contemporary workplace challenges. It also covers labor-related laws and systems, career development, and leadership, aiming to build a foundation for becoming a valuable asset to an organization as a future professional.
Psychological assessment
This course will cover various methods for understanding the psychological state of individuals who require psychological support, including their purpose, significance, ethics, considerations, and implementation procedures.
We will deepen our understanding through hands-on experience with psychological tests and group work.

I work as a school counselor during the week and as a clinical psychologist at a clinic on weekends.
During my time at university, my studies in psychology and mental health welfare helped me develop a perspective that considers the relationship between the individual and the environment.
I've found that the skills I learned are useful in my current job, such as deciding whether it's better to help someone sort out their feelings or adjust their environment.
