J. F. Oberlin University Clinical Psychology Center provides psychological support services such as counseling to address the mental health issues faced by local residents. Graduate students aiming to become clinical psychologists receive personal supervision (individual guidance) from veteran clinical psychologists with around 20 years of experience, while providing support.

Important points to note when seeking consultation
We do not offer consultations by phone.
Depending on the nature of your inquiry, our center may not be able to accept it.
Depending on the current reception status, you may have to wait for a while.
The consultations are handled by graduate students in the field of clinical psychology.
Therefore, we are unable to accept consultations from individuals associated with Obirin Gakuen or their families.
• Ongoing consultations are generally scheduled on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.
The graduate students who handle consultations change every year.
We will be recording the interview as it is necessary for supervising graduate students' practical training.
Please be assured that we strictly manage information and protect your anonymity and confidentiality.
• You may be asked to cooperate with surveys and research to improve our research and counseling services.

For those who wish to apply for a new account
Please read the following before applying by phone.
* If ongoing consultations are required, you will be scheduled to come in regularly on the same day and time each week or every other week.
* The timing of when consultations begin depends on when available slots become available on each day of the week.
* We are always accepting registrations for our waiting list.
* You are welcome to register on the waiting list while simultaneously searching for other counseling services. If you do so, please let us know once you have decided to begin consultations with another service. We will cancel your registration at that time. Thank you for your understanding.
To request a consultation, you will first need to register on our waiting list. We will contact you individually based on the availability of your preferred day/time slot, the outline of your consultation, and the combination of consultant you wish to work with (therefore, we do not necessarily serve clients on a first-come, first-served basis).
Additionally, we may be able to offer psychological testing as part of our support services. Please understand that it will take some time for preparation and coordination before contacting us.
Due to the nature of our organization, only those who meet the following criteria will be registered on the waiting list.
● Those who understand the characteristics of our center (all the information listed on this website)
● People who can cooperate with infection control measures
● Those who can come for an in-person interview.
● If you are currently receiving treatment at a medical institution, you should be able to bring a referral letter from your primary physician to your first consultation.
● Individuals who can communicate via email only for administrative matters (such as announcements and scheduling).
Furthermore, when registering for the waiting list, we will ask you the following questions by phone.
● Your name and contact information (phone number and email address)
● Available days/times for consultations
● Summary of the consultation
● Requests for special considerations when contacting us (by phone/email)
