I participated in the national tournament in my first and second years of high school.
I joined a club team in the first grade of elementary school, and I've dedicated my life to volleyball ever since. In my first and second years of high school, I was able to participate in the national tournament consecutively, which was my goal. However, our team didn't make it to the national tournament in our year, and we experienced the disappointment of that.
After graduating high school, I continued playing volleyball and visited several universities for observation. J. F. Oberlin University The atmosphere was just wonderful. Even in the usual routine of practicing spikes, at J. F. Oberlin University, just landing one spike would get everyone excited, saying, "Nice!" During the match, not only the players on the court but also those cheering came together to brighten the team's atmosphere. Since I was going to keep competing, I wanted to play in a place where I could enjoy going to club activities every day, so I decided to go to J. F. Oberlin University.
Thorough preparation eliminates fluctuations in performance.
I was fortunate enough to be able to play in matches from my first year of high school. However, I had ups and downs, and when I was in a slump, I couldn't recover and sometimes caused trouble for the team. Looking back on that time, I think I lacked composure and was anxious.
I feel like I'm gradually overcoming my weaknesses in this year's spring league season. New members have joined the team, and I think that's made me more aware that I need to do my best. I also started checking videos of the opposing team before games and memorizing their data. By increasing my preparation time, I've also become better at giving precise instructions to my teammates.
We achieved our highest-ever ranking in the spring league, but we didn't reach our team goal of "5 wins." However, the team is in good shape, and we've been able to have positive discussions about what went well. Instead of just focusing on the negatives, we've naturally been able to communicate in a way that helps the team stay positive.
I want you to see volleyball full of individuality.
I want to continue playing volleyball after graduating from university. I still have some time before I have to decide on my future path, so I hope to make a decision after I've made a firm decision.
We are working hard in practice to achieve a top-ranked finish in preparation for the autumn league and the All Japan University Women's Volleyball Championship. The current J. F. Oberlin University has a deep roster of players, each with their own strengths and style. We really want you to see the unique J. F. Oberlin University girls' volleyball team. We will not neglect preparation, and we will also strive to show volleyball that conveys the "fun."
