Index

Knowledge of multicultural understanding and regional studies, along with actions for social participation, are two sides of the same coin.

In our globalized society, multicultural communities are commonplace. This requires an understanding of diverse cultures and values, mutual respect, strong communication skills that transcend language barriers, and specialized knowledge. To become a key contributor to supporting a multicultural society, we will learn about and consider diverse cultures, both domestic and international, from multiple perspectives, while also engaging in learning through fieldwork, volunteer activities, and other forms of social participation.

Class Featured

Social participation (Volunteer studies: Theory)

Students will utilize the language and communication skills they cultivate in class within the community to deepen their understanding of social issues. Through volunteer work providing foreign language services at community centers and other facilities, they will reflect on the nature of society and their own role.

The reason for choosing this school is not only because of English proficiency, but also because you can learn a wide range of topics such as international politics, economics, and culture, and by understanding various worldviews, you can strengthen your thinking skills. Currently, I belong to a seminar on international relations, studying history and the military, analyzing current events, and engaging in discussions. In particular, in Professor Enmin Li 's class on US-China relations, I was able to deepen my understanding of current current issues by analyzing important bilateral treaties. My goal in the future is to become someone who can thrive in Japan, which is a foreign country for me. To achieve this, I want to learn Japanese and Japanese culture alongside English.
