Strengths of the academic group

With expertise backed by strong language skills, you can become a globally competent professional.

College of Global Communication offers intensive language education in a four-track system—English, Chinese, Japanese, and Trilingual—along with three Major to foster expertise. In language subjects, small-group classes tailored to proficiency level allow you to steadily develop practical language skills. In addition, through a rich learning environment through various study abroad programs, exchange students, collaborative learning with international students, seminars, and other activities, we comprehensively develop skills required in the international community, such as dialogue, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. College of Global Communication 's greatest strength lies not only in language skills but also in understanding the diversity of the world and growing into "global talent" capable of acting proactively within different cultures.

A step-by-step educational curriculum for reliable language proficiency development, and support for achieving scores.

We offer a curriculum designed to steadily cultivate multilingual communication skills, with four language tracks for trilingual students, allowing them to choose two languages from a selection of four: English, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean as foreign languages. Classes are structured according to students' proficiency levels upon enrollment, allowing them to learn progressively from the basics. For Chinese and Korean, it's even possible to start from scratch. In all cases, practical skills are enhanced through small-group expression activities and interactive lessons. Furthermore, we provide learning support to help students meet the requirements for specialized subjects or aim for higher scores on language tests, including preparation for TOEIC® (English), HSK (Chinese Proficiency Test), and JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test). By simultaneously fostering language proficiency and intercultural understanding, and incorporating a content-language integrated approach, we provide an environment where students can acquire solid language skills that will lead to studying abroad and international careers.

A learning environment centered on cross-cultural experiences through studying abroad and learning in foreign languages.

A major attraction is the emphasis on intercultural exchange at the heart of learning. Students can gain diverse international experiences during their studies through long-term and short-term study abroad programs, overseas training, and courses and seminars taught in foreign languages. Furthermore, even on the domestic campus, classes and group work with exchange students from various parts of the world are commonplace, creating a multicultural environment within the classroom itself. Through interaction with students from diverse backgrounds, intercultural understanding, collaboration, and communication skills are naturally fostered. Based on the principle of "knowing the world and learning with the world," students acquire practical skills and a broad perspective necessary to thrive in the international community.

Globally active talent

Based on language skills and intercultural understanding, we aim to cultivate individuals who can proactively thrive in the international community. We comprehensively develop the skills required globally, including the ability to communicate information in one's first language (mother tongue) and foreign languages, the ability to collaborate while respecting different cultures, and the ability to identify and solve problems. After graduation, a wide range of career paths await, including trading companies, tourism, aviation, foreign-affiliated companies, education, and international cooperation organizations. Furthermore, we offer extensive support for career development abroad, allowing students to firmly build a foundation for challenging themselves on the global stage while still enrolled. This is the ideal environment for students who want to acquire "globally applicable skills."
