You will acquire the ability to produce community development projects that connect people and initiate solutions to local problems, as well as the ability to create opportunities for learning and personal growth outside of school for all people.

Introduction to Social Education
This course explores the history and modern role of "social education," which encompasses learning and activities conducted outside of school. We will examine how social education, once a supplement to formal education, has evolved into "active learning" that empowers citizens to solve social problems and create better communities. The course will delve into diverse examples, including the activities of civil society and NPOs, and the relationship between community development and learning. Beyond lectures, students will consider the significance of social education from multiple perspectives through group discussions, presentations, and case studies. The goal is to cultivate the ability to "co-create," to proactively engage with the society in which we live and collaborate with others to generate new value.
