Psychological Research Unit

Students will acquire knowledge about development, learning, and interpersonal relationships, as well as skills in observation, research, and analysis. They will then collaborate with educational institutions, local communities, and businesses to understand human and social issues from a psychological perspective and develop the ability to make evidence-based proposals and implement solutions.

This course explores the mechanisms of "learning," the process by which behavior and knowledge change through experience, from a psychological perspective. It answers everyday questions such as "Why do we avoid foods we dislike?" and "How can we memorize things more efficiently?" using scientific theories. Specifically, it broadly covers perspectives ranging from "behaviorism," which explains behavioral changes through reward and punishment, to "cognitive psychology," which deals with information processing processes in the mind. Using famous experiments such as Pavlov's dogs and Skinner's box, it unravels key themes like conditioning, observational learning, memory structure, and motivation maintenance. Through this learning, the goal is not only to re-evaluate one's own learning habits but also to acquire the fundamental knowledge needed to understand the behavior of others and effectively support their growth.
