Art sustains me, and my art sustains society.
Art enriches life. It adds color, firmness, and moisture to your life. To study art is, so to speak, to make the art of such beings your lifelong companions and companions. They are always a conversation partner, sharing joy and sorrow together, gently supporting each other, and guiding me strictly. That is the irreplaceable value of art for an individual. On the other hand, there is also the value and power of art for society. Society today is becoming very stifling and difficult to live in. People are divided, isolated, irresponsible, and ・・・・・・ become combative. To make society healthier and easier to breathe, I wonder if I can make the art I learned more useful. College of Performing and Visual Arts also cultivates that perspective.
PROFILE
After graduating from the Faculty of Letters at Keio University, he worked with the Shiki Theatre Company, then served as producer at Aoyama Theater and Aoyama Round Theater, artistic director of the Shiki Cultural Center, and producer at Kitakyushu Arts Theater. Currently, he is a professor and College of Performing and Visual Arts director of Theater and Dance Major, director of J. F. Oberlin Performing Arts Institute, and director of J. F. Oberlin Arts and Culture Hall. He writes, writes, and directs citizen-participation works nationwide, and at our university, there have been 'Group Reading Musical: Night on the Galactic Railroad' (winner of the 2020 Child Welfare Culture Award), the 100th anniversary of J. F. Oberlin Gakuen's 'A Life of Pebbles' (2022), the 100th anniversary of Shusaku Endo's birth, 'Silent Voice' (2023), and the 130th anniversary of Kenji Miyazawa's birth, 'Kenji's Prayer.' His poetry collections include 'Cloudy Day,' 'Soul Stepping,' 'Candy,' 'Bomb Called Sadness' (all by Shoshi Yamada), and 'The Cat of the Abbot' (Shichigatsudo). "4th Beagle Newcomer."
