Those considering using the new higher education support system must apply for the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) scholarship grant at their university. Information sessions for the Spring 2026 semester have already concluded.Applicants who have not yet completed the application process are requested to come in person to the Student Affairs Office at the Machida Campus or the administrative office at their respective campus as soon as possible.
 
*This service is not available at the Sagamihara Campus. If you are College of Education and Social Transformation, please take the school bus (free) to the Machida Campus Student Affairs Office.
 
Please note that we will not be accepting any inquiries after June, and we will only be able to guide you through the application process for the Fall semester of 2026 or later.

①日本学生支援機構奨学金/高等教育修学支援新制度に関するお問い合わせは、奨学金担当(shogaku@obirin.ac.jp)までご連絡ください。
② Please complete the scholarship application process by the deadline. In principle, applications received after the deadline will not be accepted, so please be sure to act with ample time to spare.
③ The Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) scholarship is a scholarship that the student themselves contracts for and utilizes. In principle, the student should handle the application process and any inquiries to the university themselves.
④ At our university, we outsource some of the operations related to the handling of Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) scholarships to external companies (PERSOL Business Tempstaff Co., Ltd. and Obirin Partners Co., Ltd.).
Please be aware that in addition to the contents of your application documents, your contact information and personal information regarding your student status will be provided to the authorities.
