Why not put your "voice" on the Galaxy Express?

Since its premiere in 2007, "Night on the Galactic Railroad," a musical play featuring choral recitation, has grown into a beloved annual event, enjoying long runs every summer. It will begin again this year.

This stage production is a unique and original creation, unlike anything else in Japan, brought to life by a collaboration of citizens, students, and professional artists. It brings to life Kenji Miyazawa's masterpiece through group recitation, acting, dance, song, and live music. After several days of intensive rehearsals, a full-scale performance takes place. This community-participatory production has featured performers ranging in age from 12 to 80 in the past, was performed in Taiwan in 2016, and received the "Children's Welfare Culture Award" in 2020.

Why not try your hand at the fantastical "Night on the Galactic Railroad"?
