Contributing to society through regional revitalization
<Yoshiko Seminar: "Go Glocul, Be Happy!">
With "Sustainable," "Well-being," and "Hospitality" as our themes, we are working to revitalize the Hachioji City and Tokunoshima Island regions, and to promote Edo-Tokyo vegetables both domestically and internationally, through three activities: "Sakuvege Project®," "Amaburu+plus®," and "Yokohachi∞®" (each project name is a registered trademark of our seminar students). We focus on "health," "culture and tradition," and "environmental protection," aiming to improve the well-being of society and its people. We cherish the Japanese value of "Wa" (harmony) and value hospitality towards local people, and by collaborating with various companies, we are cultivating practical skills and the ability to contribute to a global society.
Learning points
- Through our hospitality skills, we aim to realize a happy and sustainable society.
- Through project implementation, students will develop problem identification and problem-solving skills, broaden their perspectives, and grow professionally.
- We will demonstrate strong communication skills and teamwork while respecting diversity and individuality.

| Message from the instructor | "Because it's a seminar where you can be passionate, your dreams come true!" In an environment that respects diversity and allows you to make the most of your individuality, you can work together as a team to learn both useful activities (practice) and research (graduation thesis) in a balanced way, and move beyond your dreams! You will develop the ability to succeed globally beyond the aviation industry. Above all, it is said to be the brightest seminar in College of Business Management. |
Voices of seminar students
- Because students take the lead in the activities, they naturally develop independence and proactiveness.
- Professor Ogawa specializes in "airlines," but the seminar activities extend beyond airlines, providing opportunities for diverse experiences that broaden your perspective and way of thinking! By thinking up activities that benefit others (such as regional revitalization) and putting them into practice, you'll be in an environment where you can become a valuable asset not only in the airline industry but in any industry.
