Learn about multinational corporations and international business as a team through case studies.
We will learn about multinational corporations and international business, which are closely intertwined with our daily lives. Why do companies become multinational? How do they enter overseas markets? How do they organize their overseas subsidiaries scattered around the world? We will investigate, consider, and discuss these and other topics.
I participate in a joint seminar with other universities held every December. Last year, we used a Japanese company operating in India as a case study to examine the factors contributing to the success of business development in India.
Also, unusually for the Saito Seminar, this year we are working on a product planning project that considers how to develop and popularize a particular product.
Learning points
- Through lectures, students will gain a deeper understanding of management and international business concepts by independently researching, thinking about, and discussing them in the context of multinational corporations.
- Through joint seminars with other universities, students not only broaden their social circle outside of the university but also gain valuable experiences that help them grow and develop.
- Since we often work in groups, we learn about the joys and challenges of working as a team.
