College of Performing and Visual Arts Students and graduates of Visual Arts Major submitted their works to the 32nd 2026 Art Contest Machida City Exhibition, and three of them won awards.
The Machida City Exhibition is a public exhibition (art contest) with a selection system, held to showcase and improve the skills of art enthusiasts within Machida City.

This time, four students and graduates from Visual Arts Major participated, three of whom won awards. Among them, this was the first time a Visual Arts Major student exhibited at the Machida City Exhibition, making it a remarkable achievement of winning an award on their first entry.

Award winners

Sumito Kakizaki (3rd year / Fumihiro Kosaka seminar): "Machida City Tourism Convention President's Award"
Harunan Kumazawa (4th year / Hiroki Makino seminar): "Machida Palio Prize"
Kirari Matsumoto (Alumni / Hiroki Makino Seminar): "Kusakabe Award"
