Four graduates of Japanese language teacher training programs passed the "Japanese Language Teacher Examination," following the success of the previous year.

Minami Uehara (College of Arts and Sciences Graduated in 2025)

 

"I'm happy that university studies have become a qualification. In preparation for the entrance exam, I strongly feel that in addition to lectures at J. F. Oberlin University, I received support through service learning and learned through domestic teaching practicums. During my studies, I also studied in the teacher training program to obtain a Japanese language teaching license. In schools, the number of students connected to foreign countries is increasing. Therefore, I believe that Japanese education in schools will be increasingly needed going forward. I will make use of what I learned at university and continue to be involved in education through self-improvement."

Mari Ogami (College of Arts and Sciences Graduated in 2025)

 

"I am very happy to have obtained the qualification I had been aiming for since entering university. In preparing for the exam, I feel that the learning I gained from university lectures, in addition to the on-the-job training I received, was extremely useful. I believe that studying Japanese language education has allowed me to view things from more multifaceted perspectives. After graduation, I will face more problems that do not have a single right answer than I did as a student, but at such times, I would like to remember the multifaceted approach I acquired through Japanese language education and strive to improve myself."
