What a cool sport!

From a young age, I participated in various sports such as dance, ballet, and badminton. When I first visited the girls' lacrosse club in high school, I was blown away, thinking, "What a cool sport!" I was also impressed by how much each member enjoyed playing lacrosse, and I strongly wanted to try it myself.

When choosing my career path after graduating high school, I hadn't clearly decided what I wanted to do at first. J. F. Oberlin University chose College of Business Management because it offered multiple specialties and a wide range of international exchange programs. In fact, in 2022, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to study abroad in Tennessee, USA, and had a wonderful experience. Being able to balance studying and club activities is one of the J. F. Oberlin University 's greatest attractions.

Overcoming weaknesses and turning hard work into strengths

We are currently playing in the Kanto Regional Student Lacrosse League Division 4. Having been relegated last year, we are practicing with our sights set solely on promotion. If we can perform at our usual level, we should be able to achieve an undefeated record in Division 4. We are solidifying our fundamentals and honing our game sense by playing practice matches against strong university teams.

The women's lacrosse team doesn't have many members right now, so each and every one of us has to play in every game. But we knew that from the start of the new team. Now we've overcome our weaknesses, built up more stamina than other universities, and are able to play without being outrun. We work hard in our daily practices, so we hope you'll come and see us running around the field during the games.

Also, because we have a small number of members, we've been able to create an atmosphere where it's easy to communicate with each individual. We also have many opportunities to talk about things other than club activities, such as student life and part-time jobs, and I think that our close relationships are reflected in our teamwork.

As a key player, I will contribute to the team's victory.

Most members of the J. F. Oberlin University women's lacrosse team start competing in college. Because I have more lacrosse experience than other members, I am aware that I am expected to contribute to the team's victories as a key player. My job is to create scoring opportunities as an AT (attack). I'll make the most of my strength of running behind the goal and running the game to contribute to many goals.

I haven't decided on my future dream yet. However, I really enjoyed my time studying abroad, so I'd like to work or live overseas someday. I want to make the most of my studies and club activities, and have a fulfilling student life without any regrets.
