Research Laboratory for Investigation, Analysis, and Proposal Formulation of Corporate Management Issues (Sakata Seminar)

We formulate and propose product and service plans, marketing strategies, and business strategies to existing companies.

In Professor Sakata's seminar, students engage in practical activities where they propose solutions to business challenges presented by real companies through group work. The challenges cover a wide range of topics, including developing marketing strategies, customer analysis, product planning, market research, and promotional planning using social media, and students are expected to propose solutions that utilize their unique perspectives.

Through interactions with companies, students gain practical experience in developing essential skills for the workplace, such as logical thinking, marketing knowledge, planning skills, and communication skills, while engaging with real-world challenges. The process of students collaborating with each other, refining proposals through trial and error, provides a valuable experience for fostering problem-solving abilities and initiative.

Learning points

  1. Learn various methods such as data analysis, strategic analysis, and market analysis.
  2. Develop the ability to compare your own analysis results with those of other group members and derive conclusions through discussion.
  3. Develop presentation skills to visualize the results obtained using PowerPoint or similar tools and explain them to stakeholders.
