Learn, think, talk, and write about global finance, economics, and business.
Through this seminar, we aim to cultivate the ability to develop a global perspective, cultivate an appropriate awareness of social issues, formulate research questions, conduct independent investigations, think logically, discuss with peers, and proactively communicate their findings.
In the second year, students will choose articles of interest from quality English-language papers such as "The Economist," "Financial Times," and "The Wall Street Journal," summarize them, and present their own opinions. The class will then discuss these summaries as a whole.
In their third year, students aim to enter the "Bank of Japan Grand Prix - Proposals from Campus," a student contest that focuses on making recommendations for Japan's finance and economy. They divide into teams, choose a theme, and write a short essay (approximately 6,000 characters). They also prepare presentation materials and practice their presentations with the goal of advancing to the final competition.
In their fourth year, students work on writing a report as the culmination of their university studies. This report, typically around 20,000 characters long, is expected to be a persuasive paper based on original research and analysis, and consistent logic.
In the summer, we have an overnight camp where students can experience regional revitalization firsthand, and in the winter, we visit places like the Tokyo Stock Exchange and the Bank of Japan.

| Message from the instructor | Anyone with a curious mind and an interest in international affairs and finance/economics is welcome.
The topic can be anything. The goal is for students to formulate their own questions, think and discuss logically, and be able to summarize their broad research and analysis into persuasive writing and explain their reasoning in a coherent manner. Through activities in the seminar, we will respect each other's individuality, work together while engaging in constructive discussions, and support the personal growth of each individual by addressing their unique characteristics. |

- Compiling documents and papers is challenging, but it provides opportunities to learn about different perspectives abroad and the realities of the economy, which I find interesting.
- Going on training camps and visiting places like the Tokyo Stock Exchange and the Bank of Japan is also fun!
