The title of Professor Emeritus will be bestowed upon professors who have supported education and research for many years.

Ten professors who retired at the end of the 2025 academic year were awarded the title of J. F. Oberlin University Professor Emeritus.

On Wednesday, June 17, President Hiroaki Hatayama hosted the ceremony to award the title of Professor Emeritus, attended by four professors (six absent), President Hatayama, Chairman Tatsuya Otsuki, and Vice President Masayuki Adachi. At the presentation of the title certificate, President Hatayama expressed deep gratitude for his outstanding achievements and expressed his expectations, saying, "Even after retirement, I hope you will continue to maintain a strong connection with J. F. Oberlin through the title of Professor Emeritus, and continue to support the university's further development."
