Admissions

We support applicants from the application stage onwards.

  • We conduct two application periods: one for spring enrollment and one for autumn enrollment.
  • We provide application assistance for Certificates of Eligibility for Residence Status.
  • We provide support in preparing application documents for the Immigration Bureau.
  • Progress updates such as Immigration Bureau application results will be News in the email newsletter as needed.
  • We provide assistance with getting to Japan, finding accommodation after arriving, and handling various procedures at government offices.

J. F. Oberlin University Institute for Japanese Language and Culture enrollment periods are April and September.

Delivery method and points to note

Payment methods are by Flywire or bank transfer. If you complete the withdrawal procedure by the day before the enrollment date, only the tuition fee will be refunded. The enrollment fee will not be refunded under any circumstances. (Even if the Certificate of Eligibility for Residence Status or visa is not issued, the enrollment fee will not be refunded.) If the Certificate of Eligibility for Residence Status is issued, the tuition fee will be refunded after the Certificate of Eligibility for Residence Status is returned to the university. In addition, all fees incurred during bank transfers, etc., will be borne by the applicant.
*Flywire is a payment service primarily used for tuition payments at educational institutions. It offers relatively low fees and accepts credit cards.
