The Japanese Language Program for Institute for Japanese Language and Culture is a preparatory Japanese language education program primarily for international students aiming to enter J. F. Oberlin University. Its goal is not only to help students pass entrance exams for university and Graduate School, but also to develop comprehensive Japanese language skills that will enable them to adequately handle their studies after enrollment. The program is comprised of three pillars: "Basic and Comprehensive Learning," "Purpose-Specific Learning," and "Individualized Learning."

1) We accept students twice a year, in spring and autumn, and the duration of study is one year.
2) Students who have been enrolled in the special course for more than one year and wish to extend their enrollment are eligible for extension if they meet certain criteria (extensions are possible up to two times, one semester at a time).
3) After enrolling in the special course, it is also possible to advance to the regular course in one semester.

Those who have been enrolled in the special course for more than one year and have earned 26 or more credits will be awarded a certificate of completion.

60 people (120 people per year, held twice a year in spring and autumn)

From the special course, the following recommendation system and transfer exams are established for J. F. Oberlin University and graduate schools. (Admission fee waiver available)
