PROFILE
He was born in Shandong Province, China. Withdrew from the doctoral program in Language and Information Science, Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, University of Tokyo upon completion of the coursework. He holds a PhD in Sciences. His specialties are Chinese linguistics and Japanese-Chinese contrastive linguistics. In recent years, he has examined the semantic functions of Japanese-Chinese homographs and inverted words, as well as grammatical phenomena related to their position in Japan-China in time and space.
J. F. Oberlin University College of Arts and Sciences lecturer in 2009, associate professor College of Global Communication 2016, and professor from 2025. Confucius Institute Secretary-General (2011~2016), J. F. Oberlin University Institute for Japanese Language and Culture Director (from 2024~), and other positions. He is a councilor of the Japan Chinese Language Society.

J. F. Oberlin University Institute for Japanese Language and Culture was established in April 2005 and began in September of the same year. To date, we have welcomed many international students from China (including Hong Kong and Taiwan), South Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar, the United States, Peru, Germany, Mongolia, India, Nepal, the Philippines, Singapore, France, Spain, Mexico, and other countries. Many Bekka students either advance to J. F. Oberlin University or graduate schools after six months to two years of study, or go on to external graduate schools, faculties, or vocational schools such as the University of Tokyo.
