On Monday, September 7, the 6th "Strategic Consulting University Exchange Meeting" (hereafter, the meeting) was held at Astellas Pharma Corporation headquarters, with 6th generation Iwatare Seminar members from College of Business Management participating.
This networking event aims to broaden your horizons by interacting with students from other universities and learning about presentations, and to enhance logical thinking, communication skills, and presentation skills based on advice from former consultant faculty. Additionally, by receiving direct advice from executives and staff of sponsoring companies, it provides opportunities to think about future job hunting and behavior in society.
This time, Astellas Pharma Co., Ltd. Advocacy Department presented the theme "Proposing ways to communicate the value of medical innovation to be widely accepted by society." J. F. Oberlin University, four universities—Nishogakusha University, Meisei University, and Sagami Women's University—participated, each presenting proposals from their own perspectives.
We were able to tackle challenging themes that we wouldn't normally encounter through regular on-campus activities, and we were also exposed to high-level presentations by students from other universities, which provided us with a great deal of inspiration. Furthermore, we had the invaluable experience of actually proposing our ideas to representatives from major companies and receiving direct feedback.
From the Iwadare Seminar, the Gene+ team received the Faculty Award (Meisei University, Professor Yasuoka Award).
Through this exchange meeting, I learned the importance of considering a single theme from various perspectives. Furthermore, receiving feedback directly from company representatives allowed me to objectively review our proposals and gain new insights for further improvement. I intend to utilize the lessons and experiences I gained in this meeting in future seminar activities.
Thank you, Astellas Pharma Inc., for providing us with this valuable learning opportunity.
