J. F. Oberlin University will invite top business leaders as visiting professors to the Graduate International Graduate School of Advance MA Program in International Studies Degree Program in Business Administration starting September 2026.

The person who has been appointed to this position is Mr. Tai Jeng-wu (former Representative Director, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sharp Corporation).

J. F. Oberlin University Graduate School International Graduate School of Advance MA Program in International Studies Degree Program in Business Administration (Shinjuku Campus) offers the only Chinese-language MBA program among domestic graduate schools. Leveraging this strength, we welcome top leaders in the business world as visiting professors to enable students to conduct research and teach at a high level not only academically but also practically.

Mr. Cheng-Wu Dai will teach the course "Taiwan Corporate Management Strategy (Chinese-language course)" in the third quarter of the fall semester of 2026. The purpose of this lecture centers on the management strategies and global expansion of leading Taiwanese companies in the times, and through case studies from Tatung Inc., Hon Hai Technology Group, Sharp, and Taiwan's semiconductor industry, it examines practical experiences in corporate transformation, multinational management, supply chain management, causes of failure, corporate succession, and technological innovation. Students will understand the process of forming important decisions from the perspective of business leaders and develop the ability to analyze the global competitive environment and corporate strategy.

Going forward, J. F. Oberlin University Graduate School International Graduate School of Advance MA Program in International Studies Degree Program in Business Administration will invite top leaders in the business world to foster an environment where students can learn research in management and gain high-level practical insights.

Profile of Dai Zhengwu

Born in 1951 in Toucheng Township, Yilan County, Taiwan. Graduated from the Department of Chemical Engineering at Datong Institute of Technology (now Datong University) in 1974 and joined Datong, where he was stationed in Japan. In 1986, he joined Foxconn Technology Group, and in 2004, he became Vice President of Foxconn. In August 2016, he became President and Representative Director of Sharp Corporation, and in 2018, he became Chairman and Representative Director and President, and in 2020, Chairman and Representative Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). In 2017, he led Sharp to return to the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange, and in 2022, he retired from all positions at Sharp. He was a key figure in Sharp's reconstruction.
