J. F. Oberlin University holds an on-campus worship service called the "Chapel Hour" as part of its educational activities, providing a sacred time for objective and deep self-reflection. Additionally, chaplains (pastors) strive to provide spiritual care so that they can accept worries and anxieties, and provide spiritual support. We provide ongoing support over time so that clients can build their own outlook on life through counseling, addressing various concerns such as relationships with family and friends, the future, and ways of living.
Annual Scripture
"Be patient with one another, and forgive one another even if you have a reason to blame one another."
"Forgive as the Lord has forgiven you."
(New Revised Standard Version) Colossians 3:13
"Also, let us be patient with one another, and if we blame one another for something, let us forgive each other."
You should forgive as the Lord has forgiven you.
(Classical Japanese translation) Colossians 3:13
The annual scripture verses are the words of the Bible that all those connected to this school should use as a guide throughout the year. Those connected include not only the children, students, and pupils currently studying at the school, but also their families, alumni, and faculty and staff. Each and every one of us connected to Obirin is always under God's watchful eye. He desires that we let the lives we have been given shine brightly and become a light to the world. Even when we sometimes lose our way or are paralyzed by difficult situations, God's word always opens new doors for us. With these scripture verses in our hearts, we hope to continue walking with hope in 2026.
