News of the Sakura Hyuga Festival

The 'Sakura Hyuga Festival' is a university festival specializing in the arts, making use of the unique characteristics of J. F. Oberlin University College of Performing and Visual Arts.
It is a stage for students who study daily in theater and dance Major, music Major, visual arts, Major, and a festival where diverse expressions intersect, sharing the moment works are born. 3 Major Together We will shape ideas that can only be realized at the Hyuga Festival.

Collaboration with others is essential in creating "Nanika." We value collaboration not only with colleagues within the Major but also outside the Major, valuing collaboration with people with different perspectives and backgrounds. At the Tokyo Hinatayama Campus, where three Major gather while understanding each other's values from different perspectives, we will share the expressive possibilities gained from our lessons.

Although we are aspiring "professionals of expression," we sincerely approach and challenge ourselves in planning and creating works that bring together learning beyond Major to make our communication more creative.
The theme for 2026 is "SPACE." Just as the universe is made up of a balance of various forces, art is also a place where people can shine in their own unique way. Though the forms of expression may differ—visual arts, music, theater, etc.—we have all been moved by art. By bringing together and interacting with diverse forms of expression, the Sakura Hinata Festival will become one space, creating new possibilities.
