J. F. Oberlin University The graduate school has trained many valuable individuals as an independent graduate school where students can freely engage in study and research, as well as a graduate school for training practitioners. What we aim for now is to acquire broad knowledge, culture, and deep analytical skills to live more richly in the era of "100-year lifespan." The 'Degree Program' system, introduced in fiscal year 2021, aims to break down barriers between specialized fields and create an environment where students can learn more broadly and deeply.
For example, business administration students can broaden their expertise and career prospects by adding courses in different fields such as gerontology and psychology to their business administration curriculum. In today's society, where digitalization and artificial intelligence are accelerating, human adaptability and flexibility are highly valued. We see this as an opportunity and aim to create a "new learning environment" where students can acquire knowledge anytime, anywhere, while offering them more options.
PROFILE
Born in 1962 in Beijing, China. Graduated from the Department of Electrical Engineering at Zhejiang University, China, in 1984. He came to Japan in 1986 and completed the doctoral program in Electronic Engineering at the Graduate School of Engineering, University of Tokyo in 1992. Ph.D. (Engineering). He joined Toshiba Corporation in 1992. At the company, he held positions such as Vice President of the China Division and Director of the Research and Development Center, as well as Head of the China Division at the headquarters. Since April 2018, he has been a professor at J. F. Oberlin University Graduate School International Graduate School of Advance. Currently, as the dean of the graduate school, he is in charge of programs such as the Chinese MBA program. His areas of expertise include Japan-China business, global supply chains, and innovation management strategies. Co-authored works include 'Leaping China Innovation ~ 10 Ideas for Success in Chinese Business~' (Chuokeizai-sha).
