About the Long-Term Student Program

The long-term study program is a system that allows students to plan their studies beyond the normal period of study (standard period of study) without having to repeat a year or take a leave of absence due to circumstances such as having a job.

The standard duration of study for a master's program is two years, and for a doctoral program it is three years. However, if you are recognized as eligible for this system, the tuition fees for any period of study beyond that will be reduced to 30,000 yen per semester.

Since tuition and other expenses can be kept to a minimum, even those who are struggling to balance work and studies can make a long-term plan and work towards obtaining their degree.

2.5-year course, 3-year course, 3.5-year course, 4-year course

●Application example (doctoral course)

3.5-year course, 4-year course, 4.5-year course, 5-year course, 5.5-year course, 6-year course

*If you qualify for this program, you will be allowed to change your study plan (extend or shorten it) only once.

The target group is as follows (a-c):

a. Individuals who are full-time employees at the time of application for long-term study.

b. Individuals whose actual work is deemed equivalent to that of full-time employees, even if they are part-time. Work at multiple workplaces may be combined.

c. Or, any person whom the university deems to be equivalent to the above.
