[Review System]

Doctoral dissertations are evaluated by one main examiner and three co-examiners (including one external co-examiner) based on the following evaluation criteria to determine whether to pass or fail.

[Evaluation items]

1. Research purpose

Is the research topic setting appropriate? Is its academic and social significance and contribution considered? Does it offer a unique perspective not found in previous research?

2. Previous research

Have you investigated and reviewed previous research related to your research topic, and have you incorporated its findings?

3. Research methods and analysis methods

Is a research method appropriate for the research topic being employed? Are the analytical methods used appropriate?

4. Contents and structure

Is new knowledge (originality) recognized? Is the research topic clarified accurately and appropriately? Is the author's opinion and argument clearly expressed? Is the development and structure of the argument appropriate? Are there any contradictions or leaps in logic in the interpretation of the results obtained?

Regarding the doctoral dissertation, a passing grade will be determined based on a comprehensive evaluation using the above evaluation criteria, in accordance with the diploma policy of this graduate school.
