Degree Program in Gerontology [Doctoral Program]

Regarding completion requirements

The requirements for completing the doctoral program are to be enrolled in the program for at least three years, to acquire the prescribed credits, to receive the necessary research guidance, and to pass the doctoral dissertation examination and final examination as stipulated in the university's degree regulations. However, regarding the period of enrollment, in the case of those who have achieved outstanding research results, the following may be permitted only if specifically approved by the president:
It is sufficient to be enrolled for the specified number of years or longer.
  1. Those who have been enrolled in a doctoral program (pre-doctoral course or master's course) for two years or more and have completed the said program: 1 year
  2. Persons who have been enrolled in a doctoral program (pre-doctoral course or master's course) for less than two years and have completed the said program.
Three years, including the period of enrollment in the master's program or doctoral program.

Regarding course enrollment

Students must earn a total of 13 credits during their first to third years, including "Advanced Topics in Research Methods for Doctoral Dissertations in Gerontology" (1 subject, 1 credit) and "Specialized Seminars I-VI" (6 subjects, 12 credits).
