Chancellor Satow meets UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon

Toyoshi Satow, Chancellor of J. F. Oberlin University, had a meeting with Ban Ki-moon, Secretary-General of the United Nations at UN headquarters in New York on January 8. Chancellor Satow and Secretary-General Ban reaffirmed the importance of educational institutions’ taking action to achieve “Peace and Sustainability” in a global age.

Since November of 2010, J. F. Oberlin University has been a global hub for UN Academic Impact principle 1. Chancellor Satow and Secretary-General Ban agreed at their meeting that as a hub, the University will strive to spread the UN Charter’s spirit through the educational institutions of the world, and that as a “Globally-Minded University” it will contribute to the world through human education.
