Exchange & Study Abroad Program Admissions

Exchange & Study Abroad Program

The Exchange & Study Abroad Program is open to both exchange students from J. F. Oberlin's partner institutions abroad and to independent applicants. In either case, applicants must have completed at least one year of previous college- or university-level study with a good academic record. A grade point average of at least 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale) and one year's previous study of the Japanese language are recommended (although not absolutely required) for admission to the program.

Summer Session

This coming summer, J. F. Oberlin University opens its doors even wider to the world:

The Summer Session at J. F. Oberlin University is a two weeks, 3 sessions, intensive program in the center of Tokyo. Courses offered in 2023 will be several content courses and three levels of Japanese language courses. Each course allows participants to have first-hand experience through not only theoretical study, but also through field trips and lectures by guest professionals. Upon completion of each course, participants will be issued an official transcript from J. F. Oberlin University (4 credits/course).
