By the time I could remember, I was already kicking a soccer ball. In elementary school, I belonged to a local youth club, and in junior high, I commuted 30 minutes one way by train to the Odawara soccer club, showing that I was passionate about soccer from a young age. I simply loved soccer, and I don't think I had any thoughts of becoming a professional soccer player in the future.

I started focusing on becoming a professional in the summer of my third year of high school. I rarely got to play in matches in high school, but after switching to a side back, I was able to play as a regular player. I advanced to the top 8 at the Inter-High School Championships and truly felt that my abilities were effective.

I decided to enroll in J. F. Oberlin University because I felt the expectation that 'J. F. Oberlin University is just getting stronger right now.' At that time, the J. F. Oberlin University soccer club had few upperclassmen, so it was more of a 'developing' team. Even so, I felt that each member was at a high level. I thought it was an environment where I could grow together with the team, so I went to J. F. Oberlin University.

Fullbacks are often seen as defensive positions, but in modern soccer, they play an important role in turning on the attacking switch. Building up the attack and delivering crosses in front of the goal. In fact, strong teams often have players who are said to be master fullbacks.

Of course, I also contribute defensively. I often face opposing strikers, and if I get overtaken, the risk of conceding increases too. It's a crucial position that can determine the outcome of a match, and that makes it very rewarding.

The coach who took over this year has been diligently guiding my play. Sometimes, when I play carelessly, I get harshly pointed out, "You can't become a professional like that." Last year, in the second division, we won many matches with individual skills, but in the first division, you need physical strength and hard work for everyone to win. I want to focus not only on "stopping" the opponent but also on "winning completely" the ball.

After graduating from university, I aim to become a professional soccer player. To achieve that, in the current league, I need to deliver overwhelming results as an individual. I want to be someone who can play a full-back role while producing many goals and assists.

And in 2025, I am determined to achieve promotion to the Kanto League at all costs. After the first half of the season, I realized there is a gap between us and the top teams in terms of concentration, intensity, and appropriate support. However, I don't think the gap is that huge. If we can improve through practice, I believe we can compete well. We want to get revenge on the university we lost in the first half and place in the top three, which is a requirement for Kanto League entry.
