I started dancing as a child and have experienced acting in various genres. During that time, I was exposed to cheerleading and cheer dancing, and gradually became attracted to the appeal of performing as a team. Cheering someone on with the dance I love. I felt that the values and passion of cheerleading suited me, so I started cheerleading seriously in high school.

I felt like I had 'done enough' cheerleading in my three years of high school, and at first, I didn't plan to continue cheerleading at university. Amidst that, through recommendations from coaches and alumni who helped me in high school, I learned about the J. F. Oberlin University Song-Leading Club. By watching performances on YouTube and hearing about the team firsthand, I developed a desire to aim for the world stage with this team, and I decided to enroll in J. F. Oberlin University.

My approach to performing changed dramatically while I was dedicated to cheerleading at university. Compared to high school, where I received hands-on instruction, at university, each individual is deeply committed to refining their performance.

"What kind of feelings do you want to express?"

We share the feelings embedded in the songs and lyrics as a team. We work together to create a story, carefully aligning our visions and translating them into our performances.

As team leader, what I value most is compassion and gratitude. While I sometimes need to be strict in my guidance, it's always to improve the team's performance. I make sure to always highlight their strengths and areas of growth as well, ensuring positive communication.

My university life is finally coming to an end. In 2025, under the slogan 'Even if a single flower blooms, a flower is still a flower,' I aim to deliver performances that convey a J. F. Oberlin University-like worldview together with juniors who have overcome difficulties and grown together, starting with the third-year students.

Fortunately, in 2024, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to participate in the world championship. The song I used for my performance was 'You Raise Me Up' by Westlife, an Irish female vocal group. This is an important song passed down through generations to unite the team spirits. Being able to dance on the best stage and with the best songs is an invaluable asset to me.

For us fourth-year students, this is the final stage at the All-Japan Student Cheer Dance Championships. To win this competition, we will not waste a single minute and second; we will continue to work hard as one team.
