I started competing in cheerleading in my first year of junior high school, at the suggestion of my dance-loving mother. I was a member of the cheer dance club for six years at my integrated junior and senior high school. Then, in my second year of high school, I saw the performance of the songleading club CREAM for the first time at the national competition in the university division.
I was deeply moved by their dynamic dancing, where every movement, down to their fingertips, was consciously controlled, and by their performance that conveyed so much emotion through their entire bodies. I don't usually get moved by performances, but this one left me with a warm feeling deep inside. It was also the moment my perspective on cheerleading changed. Until then, I had focused on not making mistakes and doing things exactly as instructed, but I realized the beauty of expression. Since then, CREAM has become an idol to me.

What surprised me when I joined the club was that there wasn't a strict hierarchy, in a good way. They value feelings and create a single performance by connecting each person's rhythm and thoughts. I think the team continues to grow because they never set limits for themselves and always have the tenacity and passion to keep moving forward.

When I was a first-year student, there was a period in practice leading up to the national competition when we couldn't perform well. It wasn't just simple mistakes in our performance; our breathing and intensity weren't in sync. That's when our club president at the time told us, "Dance with your heart." He meant that the movements of our hands and fingers, our expressions, come from our hearts. Without that, we can't move the hearts of others. That was the message he conveyed.
These words ignited a passion in everyone's hearts, and the performance that followed was completely different. We were able to perform in a way that gave us goosebumps while we were dancing, a performance that made us think, "This is it!" We realized that in order to move the hearts of others, our own hearts must first be moved. And I resolved to always keep my own heart moving and become someone who can deeply move the hearts of everyone. Becoming the grade leader boosted my confidence and strengthened that resolve even more. I will definitely change CREAM. And I will definitely lead them to victory.

To win the championship, we all need to work together and build a strong team. As a grade-level leader, I value communication, listening not only to what the upperclassmen say but also to the opinions of the underclassmen, and making sure that everyone can share their thoughts and ideas. Sometimes we clash, but it's all for the sake of the team's victory. A strong, determined attitude of "Let's do it!" will only make the team stronger.

For the past few years, CREAM has been stuck in second place. To change this situation, all the members will unite and, with the best warm-ups, the best ballet, and the best practice in Japan, we will become the number one songleading team in Japan. To achieve this, I aim for a team that is like a multiplication of everyone's combined strength. 1 x 100 is 100, but 0 x 100 is only 0. In other words, if even one person is a 0, the team becomes 0, so I want everyone to have passion. That's why I put my heart and soul into every day's practice. I won't overlook anything, and I won't compromise. I will lead everyone with the most passionate spirit in the team.
