I was born and raised in Saku City, Nagano Prefecture, and started playing baseball in the third grade of elementary school. I started because an older boy in my neighborhood played baseball and I thought, "I want to try it too." I also watched a lot of baseball games on TV at home, so baseball was a familiar part of my life from a young age.

I've always been confident in my running ability, and in baseball, my speed was a weapon. Whenever I got on base, people expected me to steal, and in fact, I was rarely thrown out. My base-running skills gradually improved, and they're still one of my strengths today.

I started to seriously consider playing baseball at a high level when I was in my third year of junior high school. I received an offer from a strong school outside my prefecture, which became the catalyst for me to take baseball seriously. I eventually enrolled in Ueda Nishi High School in my prefecture and practiced with only one goal in mind: to go to Koshien. My efforts paid off, and in the spring of my third year of high school, I participated in the National High School Baseball Invitational Tournament. Being able to play baseball on the dream stage of Koshien is an invaluable experience for me.

I decided to go to J. F. Oberlin University because I wanted to develop the ability to think and act on my own. J. F. Oberlin University The baseball club has a lot of time for independent practice, and students discover and solve problems themselves. By being in an environment where you decide what to do yourself, rather than being "forced to do something," I felt that I could grow myself.

From my first year of university, I was able to play mainly as a pinch runner or defensive replacement. However, university baseball requires a high level of pitching, and to achieve results as a player, I needed to improve my batting ability. I spent much of my self-training on batting, aiming to hit over .300. In my third year, I felt I had achieved some results, such as being selected for the Best Nine in spring and autumn.

Since becoming captain in 2025, I have had more opportunities to reflect on my own leadership. I used to expect perfection from those around me, but I make a conscious effort to understand each member's personality and communicate from the same perspective. On top of that, I always make sure to thoroughly follow basic behavior, both as a baseball player and as a student, in order to set an example for the team.

This year, the last year of student baseball, we have set our goal to return to the first division of the Tokyo Metropolitan University Baseball Spring League. Although we won the spring league, we were eliminated in the promotion/relegation playoff and were unable to return to the first division. Using this frustration as a springboard, the team is united to overcome challenges in preparation for promotion in the autumn league. I also feel that there were many challenges in the spring league, such as missing out on the Best Nine. I want to achieve a .300 batting average and contribute to the team's victory as an individual.

As for my career path after graduation, I plan to take a different path from baseball. That's why I intend to give my all to my final round of baseball. I hope you'll come to the stadium and support the growth of the J. F. Oberlin University baseball team.
