Influenced by my older brother, I started playing baseball and worked diligently through junior high. However, I also experienced frustrating experiences like injuries and not being able to play in games for a long time, so I decided to consider another sport in high school. After consulting with my family, I chose American football, which would make the most of my abilities and physique.

When I started playing American football, I had absolutely no fear of contact sports. On the contrary, I was confident that I could make the most of my power and speed and compete in football. In high school, I actively fulfilled the roles required of the team, such as playing both offensive and defensive roles. I believe I was able to grow through American football, being selected for the Tokyo high school all-select team.

I also wanted to continue playing American football in college. While looking at several teams, I resonated with J. F. Oberlin University 's team policy: 'If underclassmen have ability, they are given equal chances.' With the mindset that they would not shy away from toughness for the sake of competition, I wanted to improve. Also, the football club coach told me, 'If you're going to keep competing in college, you should aim for the Japan national team.' When I was in high school, the national team was so distant that I had never considered it a goal. I decided to continue playing American football on a J. F. Oberlin University that would broaden my potential and horizons.

Currently, I serve as the captain of the J. F. Oberlin University American football team. As captain, I focus on communicating with each member while maintaining the overall balance of the team. The team has the goal of becoming the best in Japan, but depending on the timing, individual motivation inevitably differs. Sometimes I step back and observe how things go, while thinking about the best approach to get the team members to do their best.

When I was a sophomore in college, the team was relegated from the TOP8 to the BIG8. Even so, the team's morale didn't drop, and by focusing on practice, we were able to make a comeback within a year. In the match where promotion was on the line, we faced fierce attacks from the opposing team in the final stages, but the defense held on until the end and we secured a narrow victory. I am grateful that we are now in a situation where we can aim for the best in Japan as a TOP8.

On the other hand, I also experienced being eliminated in the U20 Japan national team tryout. Since I made it to the final selection, I had the desire to pass, but ....... Seeing the level of top players has strengthened my desire to perform even better.

Our goal this season is for the whole team to achieve 'Japan's best' together. We are by no means a team with many members, but that gives each individual the potential to shine, and I feel our strength lies in close communication that transcends grades and positions. We value daily practice and always approach our goals with a high level of awareness.

After graduating from university, I want to continue playing American football as a player. I want to make use of the experience I've gained so far to grow even more as a player. Currently, I'm in the stage of searching for a team to join, but alongside this season's fight to become Japan's best, I'm also preparing to realize my dream.
