Sports Promotion Center

In April 2012, the J. F. Oberlin University Sports Promotion Center was established to promote student sports activities, maintain and enhance health, foster a sense of unity among current students through sports activities, and foster the "All Oberlin" spirit among alumni, faculty, parents, and the local community.

Currently, eight clubs—archery, baseball, ekiden (relay relay), American football, song-reading, cheerleading, volleyball, and soccer—have been certified as special strengthening clubs, aiming to be the best student in Japan.

The Sports Promotion Center, based on our university's educational goal of "cultivating well-educated and insightful international talent based on Christian spirit," is fundamentally committed to fostering character development and improving competitive ability. It promotes securing outstanding coaches and improving the sports environment, while also focusing on supporting students.

A unique feature of sports is not only physical ability but also the expression of various human emotions such as courage, anxiety, patience, and decision-making. I believe the essence of student sports is to have students belonging to special strengthening clubs gain various experiences through competition and team management, and to provide them as fuel for their future after graduation. Especially connecting strangers and making them companions with whom one can instantly share joy, sorrow, joy and frustration is the great power of sports. The sight of strangers united in heart and joy and sorrow at the stands supporting Obirin is truly the essence of student sports. Through "Obirin Sports," we hope as many people as possible can share these moments and moments and continue to support them.

The purpose of this initiative is to promote sports activities at the university and thereby maintain and improve the health of students and other members of the student body.

J. F. Oberlin University The Federation of Sports and Cultural Organizations (O. A. C. U.) includes eight groups belonging to the archery club, baseball club, ekiden (ekiden relay race), American football club, song-leading club, cheerleading club, volleyball club, and soccer club.

The Special Enhancement Club aims to become a model for general students, aiming to enhance the sense of unity and brand strength between the university and the school.

The mission of the special training club is as follows:
1. To aim to become a well-rounded and insightful student through club activities.

3. We aim to be role models for other students, embodying the spirit of "integration of academics and athletics."

We aim to cultivate individuals who can contribute to society through sports activities.
