Academic Advancement

In order to advance academically, all students will have to take a university or graduate school entrance examination.

Entrance exam for entering a university as a freshmanTwice a year・Japanese test (written and essay), interview
(If you submit your EJU score, you will be exempted from the Japanese test.)
Entrance exam for transferring into a university as a juniorTwice a year・Japanese test (essay), interview
・Some faculties require that you submit TOEFL® or TOEIC® scores
Entrance exam for graduate schoolThree times a year・Japanese test (written), essay describing your proposed plan of study
・In some cases you may have to take an exam in your area of specialty.
・The Japanese test will be waived for applicants who have achieved the N1 level of JLPT or a score of 700 or more on the J. TEST.
