Yuki Ueno receives Young Health Psychologist Award; Yuina Kitami receives Poster Award

Yuki Ueno, a J. F. Oberlin student in the Ph.D. program in International Humanities and Social Sciences, received a 2014 Young Health Psychologist Award at the 27th Japanese Association of Health Psychology Conference, held in early November at Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology. The association commended five young health psychologists for their presentations at the 28th Conference of the European Health Psychology Society. Ueno researches structures and functions of resilience among university sports club students.

At the same conference in Okinawa, Dr. Yuina Kitami, a 2010 graduate of J. F. Oberlin’s Ph.D. program of Pan-Pacific Culture Studies, received the JAHP’s Poster Award for her poster titled “The Second Report on the Examination of Stress Among Local Community Residents.”
