India's Youth: A Dynamic Force in a Changing India 5/11(金)

2012/05/07

India is at a crossroads in its history. Today’s Indian youth are the product of incredible sociological change brought about by more than two decades of economic liberalization in India. More than 50% of India’s 1.21 billion population, according to the 2011 census, is below the age of 25. This presentation will focus on the education and employability of India’s youth as well as the rural urban youth divide. It will also examine whether the demographic youth bulge will prove to be an asset or a liability for the country.
