J. F. Oberlin University Choir to perform Handel’s “Messiah” (Saturday, December 8)

To celebrate Christmas, the J. F. Oberlin University Choir will perform George Frideric Handel’s “Messiah” on Saturday, December 8. The choir will be conducted by Professor Masako Yokoyama of the university’s Performing Arts Program with piano accompaniment by Miwako Horii. Special guests will include Shōtarō Miyamoto on the trumpet, Chikako Yamada on the clarinet, and Ayaka Kojima on the flute, as well as tenor Norio Ueki and counter-tenor Sumihito Uesugi.


The choir has been practicing hard for this performance and is looking forward to singing for a large audience. Everyone is welcome.
